  Ordering Information

Important: Please be aware that BACPAC Resources Center does not guarantee the specific sequence content or gene content within clones.

To get an estimate:
You may browse our on-line ordering page to get an estimate for the products of your interest must established an account with us.

To order:

To officially place your order, you must do the following:

  1. Agree to the Limited Use Agreement in the online interface. (Printable version).
    Overseas customers must sign the terms of accountability agreement.
  2. Provide BACPAC Resources with all required informations
  3. Submit your order.
        
  • Order Online:

You may submit your order on-line for individual BAC, fosmid, and cDNA clones, for cloning vectors or for high density colony hybridization filters. Your orders will be shipped within a few days.

 
  • Order by FAX:
If your institution requires the order placed by an official fax from the purchasing department, then please advise the purchasing personnel to follow these steps:
    1. Place an order on-line to acquire the order I.D. from BACPAC Resources.
    2. Send BACPAC Resources (510-450-7924) an official confirmation fax, which includes the assigned order I.D. for the order.

We strongly encourage use of the new on-line ordering system to avoid delays and facilitate our handling of orders.

However, if you are unable to submit an on-line order, we can assist you with your order via email ([email protected]), but your order may be delayed. Please specify in the email why you cannot currently submit an online order, as this will help us improving our system. Make sure to include all the required information listed below.


Logistics and Availability for arrayed library copies:

For information on the logistics and availability of arrayed library copies, please read our library sharing policy and our limited use agreement (Printable version). .
Overseas customers must sign the terms of accountability agreement.
     
We cannot not guarantee that arrayed copies will be available in a short period, due to the freezer space limitation.

Some libraries may never become available as library copies.

Commercial users restrictions:

Libraries with an "RP" or "RPCI" name are not available to commercial users.
 
All other libraries are available to commercial users but require a specific MTA. This agreement may differ depending on the specific requirements established by the institution where the library was created. Requests for commercial library MTAs should be emailed to Suzanne Haendel and carbon-copied to Pieter de Jong.
 Required information when you order
1. Specific genomic resource(s).
  • Use the correct name for the particular clone(s), library or hybridization filters.  Please refer to the clone ordering page for the preferred NCBI clone naming format.
  • Include the number of duplicate items requested .

2. Billing address and Telephone number.
If your institution issues purchase order (PO) number, then please provide the billing address of Account Payable department.

3. Full name of the person to whom the invoice should be addressed.

If the institution's Account Payable department is the one to pay the bill, please also enter Account Payable department.

4. Shipping address  and recipient's name.           

5. Shipping account number with Federal Express or DHL/Airborne Express.

This enables us to directly charge the shipping cost to your institution shipping account. Please provide the internal shipping reference number if there is one.

                         

6. Payment options and information:
  • Pay at the point of purchase:
    Credit card payment requires both:
    -The full name on the card

    -The card's validation number (the last set of digits containing 3 to 4 numbers found in the back of the credit card).

  • Payment is to be collected:
    If your institution issues Purchase Order (PO) number as part of the normal purchasing and tracking processes, then please provide a Purchase Order number at the point of purchase.

    Please help us obtain payment by forwarding the invoice to your Accounts Payable or Purchasing Department when you receive the shipment and indicate that it should be paid.

  • Pay after 30 days:
    A) Check should be payable to BACPAC Resources, and should include your order number.

    C) Bank direct deposit information will be included in the invoice.

       

Important:
Since BACPAC Resources provides the duplication service on a cost recovery basis, your prompt payment is absolutely necessary for us to continue operation and to provide your institution/company with future orders.

BACPAC Resources expects to receive your payment in US$ for the full amount due. We can not afford to absorb banking transfer fees.


7. Tax and Customs:

  • Tax identification or VAT number:

For the purposes of taxation and Customs, you have the option of providing BACPAC Resources with your institution's Tax identification or VAT number. This information will be included in the invoice.

     
  • Special permit to import biological material:

For international order, if the recipient country's Customs Agency and Agriculture Department require special permit to import biological material, then please fax the completed forms to BACPAC Resources Center at 1-510-450-7924 (e.g. Australia requires the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) form for import of biological materials).
