  Enter your clone names

Please enter the clone names/fosmid ids of  your interest in the text box using the formats described below, then proceed through clone verification. You may use either space or tabulation and return character to separate each clone. Each clone will be subject to a number of verification steps before being placed in the shopping cart.

Please choose the format in which you would like to receive your clones:

LB Stab
FISH Confirmed Clone (Click here for information on FISH mapped clones and their availability)

Please note that the following verification step will also identify non-recombinant clones.

  How to use this page

Clones must be verified before being ordered. This page allows you to enter clones for verification of their format and availability and lets you transfer your valid clones to your shopping cart.

Clones must be entered in either one of these specific formats:

(Institution Abbreviation)(Library Number/Name)-(Plate Number)(Coordinates in the Plate)
  e.g.: CH201-145H9 or BDGCR1-25A12
(Drosophila cDNA Clone ID)
  e.g.: GM01233
(Fosmid Clone ID)
  e.g.: G248P8095F2

Please refer to the table below for names of library constructing institutions and how to abbreviate them. You may also want to view the notes and tips about clone names if you are experiencing difficulties.

Notes and Tips about clone names

  1. In naming clones, the name of the institution where the library was created is used to identify the library. For example, CH201, the CH identifies CHORI or Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute as the institute where this library was created, and 201 represents the library number.
  2. Exception Note:

Do not confuse BARC (Beltsville Agricultural Research Center) with BACR.

For clones starting with "BACR" (BAC RPCI Drosophila library clones), replace the "BACR" portion of the clone name with RP98-.

e.g. BACR32J03 should be entered in this page as RP98-32J3.

  3. For orders of cDNA clones from Drosophila gene collection, please specify the clones you are requesting by using Clone ID or by using:
    • 96 well plate coordinate for the DGCR1 clones collection
  4. (http://www.fruitfly.org/DGC/UG.txt).

    • 384 well plate coordinate for the DGCR2 clones collection

  5. If you have a large number of clones to reformat to our prefered naming format, please view our clone name tips page.
